When Becca of ClarkandKelly reached out to me about Carol and Charles’ wedding at the Ace Hotel New Orleans, I was pumped.
The Ace Hotel became one of my favorite New Orleans hotels the moment I stepped foot into their lobby. Their rich decor combined with their delicious cocktails while only being steps away from some of the best coffee in town easily put them at the top of my chill places to hang out list.
It’s clear that Carol and Charles had very different ideas for The Ace and fortunately for them, they picked one of the best planners in town to help bring their vision to life.
The day of the wedding Charles and the guys started off with a shave from Parker Barber, also a part of the Ace, and were accompanied by a couple of bottles of alcohol. Carol and her close friends and family got ready upstairs and helped her get into her dress – which at the time had the most stunning light glowing through the windows.
What followed was the sweetest first look on the rooftop and some pretty rad portraits around the hotel interior.
Their ceremony kicked off with a cocktail hour and proceeded into a second line through the streets of New Orleans where we ended up back at the Ace for their first dances and pizza on the dancefloor.
Overall 14/10 – would definitely do again.
A big thank you goes to Brandon Xuereb for always being such a wonderful addition to the day and second photographer/chill seeker/water-go-getter. And a few other very important vendors to mention: We Are Gathered, with their stunning floral arrangements, Drip Affogato and their delicious treats, Firefly Ambiance for their romantic lighting, Distressed Rentals for their specialty tables and lounges, La Tavola for their unique yet refined linens, Josephine Estelle for their in house catering, Lynna Vo for flawless makeup that lasted throughout the day and Ali Vasquez for the phenomenal updo that held through second line madness!
