Cas and Caroline’s Hilliard Art Museum Wedding took place On March 23rd, 2019, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Their entire day was good vibes only, from the girls getting ready at Caroline’s parent’s house, to sneaking boiled crawfish in their mouths, candidly talking about women’s rights, to cheering her on as she walked into the room for them to finally see her in her wedding dress. The guys were also incredibly impressive – on several levels, Cas and his groomsmen were kind, hilarious, and took on the responsibility of ironing their own shirts, stuffing necessary toilet paper into their loafers, and lent rolling Cas as his brother Curry straightened his tie. They too, cheered Cas on after he was fully dressed.
Did I forget to mention that Cas hand wrote a personal letter to each of his groomsmen? Because he did and it was possibly the sweetest most thoughtful thing I’ve seen a groom do.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, accompanied by the most perfect lighting. Afterward, Cas and Caroline went on the balcony and exchanged letters where they shared a pretty sweet moment together. The first dances were nothing short of magical, but I think it’s safe to say it was the perfect intro to the night that followed – although, I am still unsure of who the best dancer is.
Curry had his shoes off as soon as the dancing began.
Their cake cutting was phenomenal – and while I normally don’t always include photos of this (because more often than not someone will force you to awkwardly smile at the camera) Cas and Caro did their thing while their friends cheered them on and giggled in the background (truly these photos barely exist thanks to cell phones).
And lastly, their exit, so innovative, impromptu…their family and friend grabbed the decor from the tables behind them (the nice little fake candles) and waved them around with soccer mom arms as Caroline and Cas ran through.
I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect ending to such a fun day.
