Kirstin and Drew decided to get married on January 20th 2019, a day New Orleans will most likely never forget. The city was alive with contagious joy, music echoing through the streets, people singing and dancing. The sun was shining and it certainly felt as though no one could rain on our parade. It felt as though the whole city was coming together to celebrate the union of Kirstin and Drew, and that’s what I told myself as I made my way to the Omni.

The Pharmacy Museum was the perfect backdrop to Kirstin and Drew’s ceremony. There were so many unique aspects to their union…Kirstin walking down the aisle having pieces of her bouquet handed to her by the prominent women in her life. Drew and his mother as they held each other after the wedding, tears in both of their eyes. Kirstin and her siblings singing “Bye Bye Miss American Pie” at the end of the night – which broke out into everyone singing with them and Drew taking Kirstin’s hands into his own as he kissed them at the end of their first dance.

Love was everywhere, as it should be.
